Watchmen Blu-Ray Insert Art

Why did I design this? Because the marketing folks at WB got the home video art for this movie totally wrong! That's actually a gripe I have with most DVD and Blu-Ray art--they do all these crappy Photoshop montages of the actors and ignore the iconography of the material. Also, "Watchmen" is ALWAYS to be written sideways!

The "front" graphic of the bloody smiley was found and tweaked. The background I made with wet texture brushes in Photoshop. The idea was to recreate a kind of mish-mash of that iconic first panel. Therefore I tried to make a Gibbonsesque swirly thing.

Read the text on the "back." It'll make you smile.

I suppose it goes without saying but here goes: I DO NOT CLAIM TO OWN ANY KIND OF COPYRIGHT ON THIS STUFF!!!. Warner Bros, Paramount, DC Comics, Legendary Pictures and Lawrence Gordon Productions are the owners of the Watchmen movie (and all other things related). I just wanted better art for my Blu-Ray is all.
